About townd
A ten-minute drive away, the charming seaside Ermoupolis (named for Hermes, Greek god of commerce) claims to be the best looking city in Greece—it’s certainly the most picturesque. Above on the two hills of Ano Syros (the medieval quarter dating from the days of Venetian rule) are the imposing Roman Catholic cathedral and second Orthodox church. Visit the daily Ermoupolis market and surrounding bars, restaurants, intimate muserums, opera house and of course, marvelous shopping. And because it is not one of the most popular Grecian destinations, you’ll never feel overrun.
Why stop there? c
There are a myriad of other options for activities, such as biking, sailing, and more, around the villa and beyond. Just ask your host Christopher for information and arrangements.
